Orex® Workshop

Dear customer, a watch is precious and “lives” through the care you give it. In this section, and especially in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), you will find clear and structured general information on the correct maintenance of a watch.

Periodic servicing

A mechanical watch needs partial servicing every 2–3 years and a complete overhaul every 4–6 years: disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and fine regulation of the movement.

Water resistance & gaskets

Sealing gaskets age naturally over time. Periodic pressure testing and gasket replacement are essential to preserve the declared water resistance (WR) of the manufacturer.

Cleaning & finishing

The case, bracelet, and crystal should be cleaned with gentle products, without abrasive substances. Polishing operations should only be performed in specialized workshops.

Water resistance

The “Watch Water Resistance Classification” table provides information about the sealing performance of watches under normal wearing conditions. If you are a passionate diver, you may need a dedicated diving watch designed to withstand greater pressure.

Choosing or adjusting the watch strap

The “Strap Guide” includes information on how to measure your wrist and determine the correct strap size. Please note: if you want to change or adjust your watch strap (shortening/lengthening), consult a specialist.
